i've been looking online at beaver fur trooper hats. pretty expensive, but if they're sturdy, warm and comfortable, i could maybe find one under the tree this year.

I have a hat that has a mask built into it that hides inside the top. when my face gets cold i pull down the mask. when its nice i leave it in the hat

Filson Style #307 waxed cotton....mackinaw wool lined.....pull down style, if need be.....had mine for years and is super warm, versatile and built with quality so I can hand it down to my kids!

I have been using my icechanty toque with a ball cap under it for the past three + seasons, but this year I picked up one of the new clam hats, seem like it would be a good fit, time will tell

I 2nd the stormy Kromer. My wife thinks they are dorky until I pointed out a few other guys that were wearing them while we were shopping at the mall.

My son and I both wear them. I have the rancher style that has the longer ear flaps. They are very hard to beat. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd one.

I got a Cabela's Badger fur bomber. It'll warm your toes.
I got a fleece balaclava or 2 I use most times.

Best hat I've ever worn happens to be my snowboarding helmet.

I like the ports for air cooling.

People give me weird looks so I don't sport it anymore for fishing.

I bought a fleece hat that is made in the bomber style. It is plenty warm, unless it is really windy, then I just pull up the hood of my parka. The best feature was that it had 2 little LED lights built into the visor and a switch on the right side. Just click it on or off when I need a little extra light. Handy. I think it was around $20 at Gander Mt.

I bought a RCMP style winter hat made of muskrat:

It was under $100. When it's warm I fold up the sides, when it's cold I pull them down. Only issue is it doesn't cover the face so I need to bring something that does when it's really cold & windy.
