At this pond, 3 in of black ice. Lots of variability between lakes out there. Big ones are still a week or two away.

Got out on Sunday on some good ice. Cold and windy in the morning but a wonderful sunny afternoon with a decent bite.

Found some big ones today. Biggest was 25 and a half inches. Ice season is really starting to kick into gear

Haha, I applied as soon as I got home! It's the first ma fish I've caught where I've had a camera AND a measuring board, so I was pretty stoked.

First outing of the 2020-2021 Season--Upper Sunshine. Solid 6" of ice, 2 degrees, calm. 21" Yellowstone cutthroat trout, largest I have ever caught here. Green and chartreuse colored jigs, tipped with sucker and shrimp.

Prospector stopped by just in time to see me catch this catfish and then take this picture. I fish solo a lot so most of my ice fishing pictures are simply of fish laying on the ice! Lol.

I caught four catfish today all were released the largest was 27" 2@ about 26" and one about 24". The first one I caught I was hopeful it was a good eye no such luck, they were fun to catch and they put up a good fight.
