The Halls Boat webcam was just on the news. Zero bodies out off of mdb

What a waste of a day off🙄

That sucks.  I have to go to MN for meetings...not ice fishing.  Perhaps this weekend things will be better.

Some warm weather and freezing rain midweek then cold.  Should firm stuff up.  Hopefully that main basin is locked and safe soon

Did the wind blow any of the snow off. Is it to deep for an atv.
If fishing is a sport are we considered athletes?

Areas that were frozen have deep snow (up to 2 feet) on them.  Open water areas are freezing up fast.  I would hold off on ATV for awhile.  You will not see where ice goes from 5-6 inches to a lot less than that.  Also,  there will be a lot of slush under the snow right now; especially where holes have been cut or pressure ridges are forming.  I was up in Hague yesterday clearing out my driveway at camp and lake was on fire.  It probably capped over last night, same for Bolton open water areas.

Good luck with hearthstone last I heard gate is locked and almost impossible to get your gear back up that hill in all that snow. I would think getting down the hill in the snow is not easy

That's an odd question, but the answer is no. it's a page on Facebook I follow because they post pictures of Northern Lake George quite often and they posted pictures of the North End Freezing this morning that I thought other people might want to look at.

Thanks for sharing.  I am on FB so I looked at his pictures.  Been a long time since I've fished Hague.  Would be nice to be able to get out there again as you can have an awesome day perching the hump and jigging lakers all around it.

The Lake Motel has a pretty good web cam but I don't see anybody out.  There was a dot this morning that looked like somebody was fishing.

Probably because the ice was sketchy when it snowed.

From the Post-Star

UPDATED Wednesday: The Lake George Association has formally declared Lake George iced in, after the north end froze Tuesday, the 6th time in the last 10 years it froze. Some ice fishing is occurring on the south end, the Narrows and some bays, but ice is very thin on much of the lake.

Won't be thin for very long, overnight lows supposed to be negative single digits next week, and February outlook is looking good.
