Thanks for the reports guys! Now I just have to figure out how on earth I'm going to pull this off since I've only got one arm!! I'm 10 days post surgery for my shoulder replacement and broken arm but feeling pretty damn good! Can jig with 1 arm and should be able to drill with the cordless with the good arm!!! It's the other stuff like getting into my ice suit, putting on cleats, etc. Lol! If the ice out of MDB is a possibility by next week I'm heading north! Got nothing better to do!  :)

Man. I'd help ya drag your gear and cut your holes.
I ain't helping a man put his pants on though.  ;D

Here's what I saw for ice today:
South Basin skimmed over totally from MDB to about the Georgian then half frozen half open North to Tea Island.
Hearthstone looks to be frozen all the way across but not positive. Gate is closed. middle doesn't look good.
North of Diamond is open.
Dunhams Bay frozen out to just inside mouth of Bay.
Harris Bay-about half frozen
Warner/Kaatskill bay frozen out to Fishers Marina- sketchy but skimmed near Elisabeth island
Wide open main lake north of Diamond
Basin Bay about 1/3 frozen on south side.
Huddle bay frozen out past Leontine Island(the one with the house on it.) Bixby beach only about 75 yds out.
Sawmill all skimmed out past the point of Green Island-
Northwest Bay appears to be all skimmed over.
Sabbath Day Point north is wide open.

Bad news is there were 2-3 footers with whitecaps on open water today.
Just took a ride from Warrensburg to Bolton and the only thing different I saw was Northwest Bay was about half froze with what's left going fast. The wind was whippin' south to north with whitecaps. It's a shame it couldn't be calm for a few days.

I figured this thread would be the place to ask this. I found this in the bucket and coming out of its mouth when I was going to clean. A worm of some sort, but would you eat a fish with this in it? Was not caught on George.

Looks like a type of tape worm. I find them pretty regularly in LG lakers in the intestines when I filet them. Also see something similar, but thinner and longer with a large mass of them, that come out of the mouths of smallies during the summer at times in LG. Never eat sushi from freshwater.  ;)

Jager you have a big enough following that will gladly drill your holes for you to chase some lg Lakers and even pull em out the hole for ya. Only problem will be once you start catching too many and make us miss out on our numbers then your on your own. And I'm with prchslyr you gonna have to put your big boy pants on by yourself.

Thanks for the kind offers guys! I'll just have my wife dress me and I'll sleep in my ice suit the night before! Lol! All kidding aside, I've made remarkable progress in a week. I actually think I'll be able to get out on the ice before the season ends. As long as I'm rowboat ready for spring Browns, I'll be happy! :-)

LOL   Terry and I were planning a multi-day expedition when I realized that.   I had to remind him what day it was, he had totally forgot  :o

Well we might not be going on any trips, but we will definitely be on some fish.

really!!!!! FYI the sink measures 17.5" by 25.5" inside measurements, and i dont kerp perch less than 9",so if ur calling me a bser u mite better just go pound salt.....just sayin.
If that perch was another inch longer it would have gone on the wall

Did anyone get to take a look at the lake today... whatever ice it has should be rock solid by monday. Hoping Tuesday doesn't ruin it all!

I checked a couple of spots around noon and it was getting broke up a little bit but not bad, it wasn't that windy then though.

huddle should b good.  Sawmill was only froze out to the end of green, but maybe tonight it will move out further.  Main lake wide open.  Northwest bay had a huge channel going throughout from indian brook on up.  south basin was froze at hearthstone across, but when i drove south on 9 near tea island wide open in the middle.  shaky down towards million dollar
