I should have been more specific.
I was not fishing Vets. You can't drive down there with a car unless you have Jersey plates and dads car.  ;D
And even then you don't get very far!

How do you go about fishing ciscos once you get them? Do you fish them deep or just on the drop offs

I slice the gut and lay it on the bottom of whatever depth I'm at. I've caught trout using cisco this year in 8-125 fow. 1 of the largest was caught by my kids on a random hump that came up to 8' while targeting pike.
They go belly up on you quicker than any other minnow will. Which is why I suggest killing them. It's tough to send a floating cisco to the bottom and BIG trout would rather a meal they don't have to work for.  ;)

Here's the rod EasternCentralNY21 had built by tony at 307 last year.

The hippies got to me. Looks like the Dead on Youtube from here on out today.  :P ;D With maybe a little work mixed in.

Surprised to see so many dead heads that are local and ice fish. I myself have seen close to 200 shows. I swear it's the dead music on the iPhone that's gets the perch fired up
