Anyone ever catch any Burbot out of Lake George, or know for sure weather they are or are not present? The DEC does not list them as being present, but in the past I have noticed the DEC is not always accurate with what they list. Especially the less sought after species. I plan on targeting them on Champlain this year but thought George might have them as well being so close as well as being deep and cold. Thanks in advance.

No Burbot, but Crappie can be harvested off the aft of the Horicon, South of Pine Pt. out from Neptunes, they have been caught there, and nowhere else to my knowledge?

Fontana19 checked the lake this morning, he measured 2.0" of ice where it froze weds morning, some places almost 3.0" where it froze tues night...prolly gonna wait a few days to try again.

No I just know where to fish it. Directly between the islands that most people walk right by is the honey hole.

Hit huddle bay today. Very sketchy. No more than 3 inches in some spots. Got into the perch, about 30 good size keepers. Slow day but definitely by this weekend it'll be GAME ON BOYYYYSSS!

Yes it is. Frozen from narrows all the way to hague. Decent size patch of open water in front of Hague Brook, and still a little open water in front of Rogers Rock Campground. Also open water in Northwest bay.

The hole in NW Bay was really steaming when I got to work this morning and wasn't when I left at 3, assuming it buttoned up. The lake's running pleasantly early this winter and looks like it'll be putting on serious ice the next couple days! Can't wait to try and get after some lakers on my lunch break!
