Boy do I love fishing late football season!
It was almost eerie how quick that lake went from jam packed to looking like a ghost town.
The perch gods rewarded me for hanging out until dark. All heck broke loose during the last hour.

Hey smokin ss that area gets pounded!!! If you can catch those big pike I've seen you post I'm sure you've got the lakers figured out. Find fresh fish and lake trout will bite an old gym sock lol. In the MDB area the first guys out get some fish then they swim through tip up line the rest of the day.......pm me and we can share some info if you want grew up fishin LG.....but you gotta cough up some pike spots :-)

haha well all my pike are from open water season. I do not fish for them in the winter. Pretty much just pan fish and laker fishing for me to get me to the open water season. I might take you up on your offer tho.

Looking how to get to Bixy beach Rd on LG. I have not fished the lake in years and figured I would give this area a shot for perch and lakers. Would this be a ok spot to target them? PM me if its easier.

Thanks guys

Went out today and was happily rewarded. Two of us managed to coax 16 lakers up thru the hole.11 were jigged from the same hole about as fast as I could get it down.Just like perch fishing! All were fairly nice sized fish too.Didn't take many pics as the wind was awful out there today but here are a couple

All but one was released also. The gaff is used more for measurements than actual gaffing.
