How is the ice on Harris? Can't be that good right now??
Yeah, the ice is good. 5-8 inches. Going to be cold tonight and tomorrow. And next week.

Hit Harris bay today. 2 lakers. 27" and a 28 1/4". No perch. I couldn't stray from the tip up`s to far.

One thing about the lakers there is when you get em there usually pretty good size .... Great job

Don't forget the occasional pickerel and dink largemouth.

been looking at the page for a couple weeks now and decided to say hello to another season. Laker's at Harris Bay caught my eye. How deep and how far out did you go??? Can't wait to get up there again. Went to Oniedia 3 times so far and put 7 eyes in the freezer. Now for the Laker's.

Definitely interested to hear ice reports if anyone goes out today! I've caught my fair share of perch but I'd like a couple lakers so Harris bay sounds like my fish spot tomorrow! I hope y'all are having a good day!

Sent you a pm.  Also, from my experience lakers in Harris are hit or miss.  You might get one but it's not as reliable as out on the main lake imo.  Just my 2 cents.  Then again I don't usually target them on harris and just get the occasional one on a tip up or perch spoon.

Absolutely right ... By no means would I go there to target lake trout ... We usually bring the family and get lucky once in a while .... It's a all  around great  place to keep the kids busy and have a little fun

The shore access is perfect where you park next to the Harris bay yacht club on the side of the road. No broken ice. Frozen all the way to shore. You should drive up there and check it out.

Jon ny my #2 son, Keith and I went out on the main lake today, the perch bite wasn't to good, and the Laker wasn't any better, J on landed 5 here is 1  them.

And here is the only one I landed, I had 3 on but lost them. They would come and do a lot of looking but didn't want to bite. Notice the humpback on that fish.

The main lake where we were had 5-6 inches, a lot of places where the old holes skimmed over, but don't step on them. Some of them were pretty big, you could get your whole leg to the waist wet in some of them. >:(

I assumed that's where you guys were. It's a good thing I didn't head up that way, I'd have wasted a lot of gas. I'm going to take my friend and his son up to GSL hopefully this weekend. After that I may try to hit the lakers at least once before I leave town for work.

yeah I am just wondering. Thought maybe if someone who has been out there told me what was going on with the shore it would save me a hour drive up. I appreciate it. Im going to try to talk my buddy into going up saturday.

I don't trust Dunhams Bay, after that guy went through there was open water past him on the last warm up. there is ice out there but there are not too many that want to take the chance to test it.
