Indiana's southern most natural lake. A long time ago I was told there are Jumbo Perch in there but have never made it there. Give it a try!

PM me if you find the Jumbos

heard locals say its bottomless a couple times.  never fished it myself.  i see bass guys out there once in a while.

while we in the area. the gravel pits at france park are pretty neat.  you can see the paddlefish in there from the cliffs sometimes. that would be an ice catch to remember wouldnt it. lol
real fishermen don't ask "where you catch those"

Years ago the lions club would drag an old volkswagen out onto the ice and then for a fee they would let you guess the day it would melt thru the ice. Nice fundraiser. Back then a guess of april sometimes would normally when.

I asked them once while I was camping there. They said u could and soft water after the beach closed. May have changed now. The property has been sold and a lot has changed. They let you drink alcohol on beach, jump from cliffs, and venture past rope while swimming. Just my 2 cents. I still go there.
