Unique Spearing Ideas

Any one with unique Ideas that you use on your spearing shanty's that work great. Or your trying for the first time. I am trying for the first time this year a spring loaded door to get in and out quicker. And I also have been using a spearing plank that I shove the fish up against when I bring the fish out of the hole and it works great .

Anyone know where to get an icon of a spear to compete with the tip and smiley`s,etc maby even a spear with a pike attached and a big S#*& aetin grin on it`s face.

Does anybody use a red and white golfball as a decoy?  Somebody was selling them on ebay, I have never seen it though.

I just made one yesterday taped off half of the ball and painted the other half red and screwed an eye screw into it on the line
wa la instant decoy  I am going to try it at hell creek this week 6-10

What kind of paint would you use? I would think something that didn't put off to much odor.

I just used plain old red spray paint didnt smell after it dried
the fish are attracted to movement anyway right and besides by the time Mr. or Mrs.  Pike smell my BALL theyre dead

Hey Guys,

I use the Golf Ball trick almost everytime I'm out. I just used a red permanent marker to color the one side. I attached the line to a small open face reel. When I wind the reel it twists the line which causes the ball to spin for approx. 15 minutes. When it stops just wind it up again. I hang it from my ceiling. Had lots of fish come in on it and on Monday had a nice Walleye come in to take a LOOK. I also have a fake decoy down. Have yet to use a live decoy. My Buddy uses 2 balls one under the other approx. 10 inches. Sounds xcrazy but works in Michigan
