Is it just me or is the adapter for the nils onto the clam adapter is not very tight fitting? I noticed alot of play on it and theres no way I will run it like that. This adapter is my buddys and I recommended him to the ebay seller with out knowing about the problem. Whats the best way to compensate for the gap so theres no wobble and does the ebay seller know about this?

the clam plate to Nils auger adapter on Ebay has been fixed I called the guy and he said he found a batch of oversized adapters
the new ones are already available there was .050 of play on the adapter now .012 to .020 . he said he is using a mock shaft of the clam plate now so this dos not happen.  the item number for the adapter is 181618210257  half the price of getting it done at a machine shop

I got mine in on Saturday and it is the revised one, it fits a lot better but haven't drilled with it yet. Will report back when I put it to use this weekend.

Hey all who run a clam plate with a Nils...refreshing this ancient thread to make sure I get the right adapter.

Can any of you say for certain what adapter I'm going to need for the 8" aqua blue Nils if I get a clam plate? I'm going to pair the setup with a Milwaukee fuel 18v brushless drill. I want to be part of the silent hole ripping club!

Thanks in advance for your replies! I want to make sure I get this right from the get go.

I have the same adapter that is on eBay. I got the bolts that was recommended in description and there seems to be a lot of play. Maybe if seller included the bolt that fit adapter to clam plate it wouldn't wobble so much.
