Icegator charging port
« on: Jan 31, 2012, 07:16 AM »
The charging port on my gator is loose and I'm thinking of getting inside and re-tightening it. Anyone ever take theirs apart? Is it difficult to reassemble?

I just did this, to replace my batteries. I should say I have a Attacker II. When in there I re-soldered my contacts on my charging port. One was so loose when I wiggled it it came off. Make sure to check those connections. Just remove the 5-6 screws, I removed the green tape and replaced later. Once screws are out disconnect battery wires (take note of what side they came off of) and you can work with just the top of cover. Very easy. Good luck

Thanks, I should have mentioned that mine is one of the original ones with the batteries held in place against contacts and a plate with long screws, no soldered battery connections.
