How big is a 40 pound pike? Anyone have a picture of one? I know the Saskatchewan record is 42 pounds.

The Michigan state record is 39 pounds and I believe about 51".I've never seen one that big but hopefully if I ever do I hope it's on the end of my line!

Its not a pike but here is a Muskie that is about 38 lbs 54.5 inches long

well the new york state record pike is 46 lbs not sure of the length but Ive seen pics of it and let me tell u its huge

the is probably the biggest pike from sask i've seen a picture of caught not too far from the area we normally fish at tobin, the lower picture is of a freind of mines pike caught last feb in the same spot we regularly fish, biggest fish i've seen in person i think

The Peter Dubuc Pike caught on the Sacandaga Res
NY State Record was 46 lbs 2 oz and was 54" long

One weighing 90 pounds, 8 ounces was purported to have been caught in Loch Deigh, Ireland, in 1862

thats a monster, cant imagine what that would look like

Man, that thing is a monster...not only is it the NYS Record, but it's also the North American record!!!

Here is a pic of the World Record, caught in Germany in 1986...55 lbs.

Here is a pike caught in Manitoba that was an alleged 70 inches...but I personally don't see this fish as being even close to that.

The biggest pike I've ever seen in person was my personal best 41" 19 lbs 4 oz, thats puny compared to those monsters.

I doubt that Manitoba Pike is even real. It looks kinda weird with the Low belly and spread out Tail fin. Funny story none the less. Even funnier when you look at the picture and think of them eating it.

There's no Way a Pike could reach 90 pounds. Espicially if the Saskatchewan Record caught out of Lake Athebaska is 42. I think the irish people living in Lock deigh were doin some good old fashoined beer drinkin and story tellin.

That Manitoba pike is probably 100% true judging by the people who caught it. Pike tail fins get like that all the time when we catch them, especially in real cold weather. The saggy gut is fine too since his hands are place elsewhere the rest of the belly goes there, looks like the German pic, but its sagging worse. Plus I am pretty sure that this pike was most likely caught by a Square Hook, that's how "they" get the big ones. I'm a believer, but with the calculation based on the 2X4 I would say thats a little off since the fish is about 1 to 2 feet infront of the 2x4. Therefore it probably isn't quite 70, but maybe 60. Anyways I wouldn't mind hooking into that fish. The story isn't funny either, that's what sustinence fishing is all about in Canada.

by my figuring you can put about 16 width's of that 2 by 4 into the length of that manitoba pike so at even 3.5 inches(actual dimension of a 2by4) that makes that only a 56 inch fish, and thats not allowing anything taken off for depth illusion(the fish is closer to the camera than the 2x4).
