Wherever has the safest ice...  But honestly Fireman's Beach is the common stepping off point for most.

Hope they don’t have the bubblers going there. They kept shoreline access very limited last year.

Giant muskie and pike on the north end and south end has good pan fishing...but I did hear unless you know someone to get on the south end...the only access will be on the north end..something dealing with the docks..the north end had a skim of ice a few weeks ago.

You use the boat launch by pafc for the north end to gain access?? Also, the firemans weedbed for pike? But that is south end correct?

Drove by the south end on Rt. 322 on my way home from work today and there were two people on the ice out from the docks/Silver Shores.  There was no ice around the docks so I'm not sure how they got out there and can't report on the ice thickness

My husband's friend fished there yesterday...He said  he walked right of the dock...??
Also there was 6" of ice with at least 2" of white on top...caught 5 large bluegill,,and 2 pikes.
Also there was at least 3 foot of snow piled up around docks and shore line,..that blew off the lake to the south end..
