Yeah I saw the 5 day forecast. They are callin for below freezing at night so we might get lucky. Have a good solid 9" of ice on the lakes I fish, and in spots more.

The warmest I had seen was 41. Guess it depends on where you are from. This was for Fort Wayne.

When I woke up this morning at 6:30, I checked the forecast for Indianapolis and the high for Saturday and Sunday were 48 and 50 respectivley.  Just checked it again now, Saturday 41, Sunday 43.  That's the weather man for ya......Must be a woman I guess.....Changes her mind too much.

The way I see it is maybe a week or a week and a half it will depend on the rain. The ice up north will last a little longer.

Suprisingly Prairie Creeks ice is not as bad as I thought it would be. Fished it from 3:30 till 5:30 tonight. If the rain tails off wed. through fri. temps just might tighten it up. Keepin the fingers crossed. I managed to pop another eye after the get together Sun., so Im really hoping to get after em again. C'mon Alberta Clipper where you at?

Just came off Prairie Creek. We've lost about 3 inches and the edges are hairy but you can still get on. Ice is between 4 and 5 inches. Should tighten up over the next couple of days. I'll keep ya posted as I will be out there jigging!

I'm planning on coming back up to summit Saturday what do you think the ice will be like then.  Would it be worth the trip?

Thanks Jimmy.  I think I'm going to bring my wife she likes to fish and this will  be her first time ice fishing. If it goes ok I might try to make a weekend out of it and maybe hit P.C. also on Sunday.

I met some friends of your in Jan. on summit lake (A nice guy and his dad that walks with a cane) He said you were a guide on Brookville for walleye. Have you done any good yet this year? How would I contact you about a day on Brookville for my little girl and maybe my dad? Has anyone heard anything  ???about Summit perch after iceout?
