One in Utah too.  Not sure if they were fishing or not.  Girl fell in, guy got her out, then the guy fell in and didn't make it.  I'm usually pretty hardcore early/late ice but have playing it very safe this winter.

Sad news indeed. I checked ice conditions yesterday, 3" of white / cloudy ice with shoreline soft spots. I'm 70 years old and lack the confidence in my ability to self rescue and decided it wasn't worth the risk.

This is very sad, conditions of ice this year require extra caution.
