I was the first one to drive on the ice saterday    However me or my buddy has been out the last 3 weeks in a row and have paid close attention to the ice conditions and build.  I was amazed how many people just drove on the ice after seeing a vehicle out without any thought or care when there was still 4 ish trucks on land and then 3 or 4 on the edge of the shore line.   And couldn't believe the 2 guys that parked pickups like 20 feet from eachother.   ???

Was out there on Saturday and everyone was parking on shore still, right when we were getting ready to go home 2 trucks were ripping across the lake on the ice, I figure with these cold temps we've been having I'm sure pretty soon it will be ok to drive on

Does anyone rent out shelters on LML?  I’d like to try it out, but we’ve never been down there and it might be a little chilly this week for hole hopping.

Over 14" at Alice Beach this morning boys. Time to get at it.
When I'm done drillin' - all that's left is an 8 inch wide, moist, dark hole that smells fishy......

Go on at the boat launch then South approximately 100 yards and you will find a good road around the ice heave.

Does anyone know how thick the ice is at Regina Beach?  Are trucks driving on it yet?

Ditto, would like to know this as well. hearing rumors of a truck going through on the east side of the pier. i know there is a sandbar there but curious as to how thick the ice is...

Lots of vehicles driving on at regina beach.  Just stay to the west of the pier to get on the ice.  There was a truck that went In there today on the east side of the pier.  I measured 20" of ice.  But be careful around them heaves.  There is one by the point at the swim beach.  There is 2 heaves by pelican point but someone has marked a spot to drive through the first heave and for the second heave you can head towards little arm to get around the 2nd heave if you want to get on the other side of pelican point.  At kedleston  there is a heave that goes all the way across the lake.

January third fished Collingwood first time this year. Action for perch was steady all day. We kept 28 fish between the two of us and released ten more. Lots of jumbo perch and three Walleye.

Thanks Pollock fish. Part of having success is just keeping track of spots where you have done well over the years. I am 62 so I have had a little practice.
When going after a new species like my Lake Trout trip last year I study as much as I can and take advice from others who have the experience. Good luck this weekend.
