Northern NJ ice
« on: Dec 19, 2020, 07:26 AM »
Anybody in Northern NJ have ice yet? Here in upper Passaic county our lake froze over Thursday night, but looking at the forecast for the next several days, I doubt it’s going to grow much, if at all.

10 day doesn't look too bad if the wind stays down long enough for ice to form.

I was surprised to see 5 shacks when I went over Monksville yesterday. The lakes nearby in Ringwood had large areas of open water just a few days ago, and Wanaque reservoir is still mostly open water this morning.

For the first time in nearly two years we were able to get out on our local lake here in upper Passaic County. My 11-year old finally was able to try out his ice flasher he got from Santa in 2019.
