  I am contemplating an trip to Deschambault and possibly Jan lake as well in the near future . I was wondering if anybody would be interested in coming along splitting costs etc.??

we are looking at going to Deschambault as well in March this year...it is really reasonable for a Cabin there.

Gary at Bloomfield's also has reasonable cabins right along the lake as you can drive right down and onto the lake from there!  He is open late at night for meals, gas, ice ,etc.
