Nice  ;D  I highly recommend a towbar if your using that wheeler.  It makes a world of difference in how the sled tows.  (experience speaking).  :D  Even if you put two pieces of PVC pipe on the tow rope it will help enormously.

Here's mine. 6 x 8 i.d. ,  light weight and with two propane lanterns going inside it stays around 65 degrees.
I added a old Sony car stereo this year with a pair of speakers with brackets mounted to the studs. It runs for a couple of days on a little 12 volt sealed battery before it needs a charge.

here's my ontario design I'm using this year.  Sunflower heater on a 20 lb. tank keeps it warm enough to fish w/o jacket.  see me on lake champlain, stop by and say howdy

Total weight is around 300 - 350#, When it's up on the ski's one guy can pull it threw 6 - 8 inches of snow no problem. It tows really nice behind the snowmobile too !

What is on the exterior?

Those are aluminium sheets from the local newspaper. Had to pull some strings to get them. The sheets are riveted together and then we used that metal/foil duct tape on the seams.
Too bad we had to pull it off the lake last Saturday due to the warm front..... This weather SUCKS !!

Worked on improving my shantymy HT Arctic Express a little today and also doing a bit of garage fishing.

Mounted a seat to a cooler and a better way to carry the IceGator.

Pic from the other side. Used bungies to hold down the auger. The back of the seat had two screw hole locations molded in. I mounted a spring loaded clip to hold the auger in place.

Ahhh! Set-up for fishing in the garage.

Little bit closer shot.

The seat($12 at local discount store) can swivel too.

Can store my underwater camera and other stuff inside the cooler. But too short for any fishing rods. The Groove Rod holders are awesome.

Heater, Shovel and tackle bag behind the cooler/seat.

I've had the shanty since 2007 and think the quality was very good. The Canvas fabric is very thick.

; ; ; ;

A few pictures of some modifications done this year, plus one of her getting the job done last year with the wife.  So far, I've been more than happy with the shack.  Hauled 5 guys plus gear across the lake, cut the wind, even had it out once @ -46F and was still a balmy +50 with a sunflower heater.  Back home in SD I had a buddy buy a $700+ Clam that was the same size and started to tear apart within a year.  This ol' girl is sturdy and built like a brick house...only problem is that she weighs about as much as one.

Great looking shack mud! Excellent craftsmenship!

8' x 8' (semi?) portable.  Easily pushes onto a tilt deck trailer or can be pulled by the Alpine in snow up to 1.5'.  Snow starts to pile up in front if the snow is too deep, but a snow dam and wider skids may take care of that.

Not a bad design. There are some things on mine you could add to yours to help out with drafts.

Here is "The Dog House".   My wife made me name it that, but I figured that was a small price to pay for her letting me get it!   We bought it as a shell, with just the inside walls paneled.  We added the ceiling, trimmed it out, made the booth, table, shelves and added the TV, stereo  and furnace  We can also haul our four wheeler inside and get out a little earlier in the season.

I followed your build thread, a work of art most definitely.  I have a few constraints on the design that makes it tough to keep the front up.  The holes are cut in the center of the shack, so a full length skid through the center is out.  Then the shack rides on a 5' wide trailer with raised fender wells so skids on the side are out as well.  I'm thinking a toboggan front like yours that is 5' wide and only extends 2-3 feet under the shack may do the trick.
