Old green surplus hut

A few years ago my brother was using an old green army surplus hut. it was sort of like a tipi shape. Any one have any idea/info on that set up, it worked pretty good for one person.

More of a round tipi with no rain fly/cover. Material is that heavy old oily smelling canvas. I only ever seen the one.
