Eskimo Quick Flip 2 Benchseat

I put my Eskimo together on Boxing Day and when I went to install the bench seat metal bars the holes on either side did not line up. The one side was out (long) by at least a 1/2". Did I do something wrong?, or has it happened to someone else as well?

I just drilled another hole to fix it, but was just curious.
