i had a borrowed stick welder but my wife bought me a mig last year and i love it.

the wife told me if i keep making them i going to have to start selling them.

Well guess what, I'd bet you could sell them and make some money. That's one awesome stove right there. If I ever get a permy you could sell me one for sure.

I build wood fired cookstoves for a living. Keeping it simple is what makes them the best. That looks like a great stove!

looks great, thats a BBQ tank right? if so how do u make sure they're all the way empty before you start cutting them?

Unscrew the valve on top and fill with water, tip upside down and let drain.

thats exactly what i do surf, but i fill it a couple times before i start cutting. better safe than burned.

Hows that stove working out for you this year???   I still haven't quite finished my new propane tank stove yet.   I keep adding things to it,  Not much propane tank left on it now.   I'll have to get pictures of it and update the maine board with it.  I've got so many projects going right now and not enough time to devote to them, the family, fishing, work, and remodeling the house.

I take loads into the scrap yard about 5 times a year and I must have thrown out enough to make about 80 of those woodstoves. From now on, I think I am making a woodstove out of those things since the best way to recycle is to reuse. I have seen a few pics of wood stoves made with 20lb LP tanks, yet this one looks the nicest. Great work on it.
