Runners on shack
« on: Dec 17, 2004, 05:14 AM »
Spent 2 hrs the other night putting steel on the 2X6 skids of my shack floor, found some "U" shaped medium thickness steel which my brother scrounged a few yrs ago in my barn.  With a little hacksaw work I angled it up on both ends to follow the angle-cut ends of the 2X6's and fastened it into the skis through a row of pre-drilled holes on the sides of the steel pcs., so no screws or bumps on the bottom.

This allows me to flip the floor right side up and attach the walls which are all built, then sheath the roof, fashion a door and be done.  Prob. not going to put it out till mid-Jan. so am still on schedule!
