Answer: Different products than you can get here. Sourcing Europe (this stuff comes from Latvia, if you don't know where that is go back to middle school geography) is different than sourcing "Far East". Europeans have a long history of ice angling and can bring unique products to our attention. Chinese CSJ are little more than cheap knockoffs of high traffic items.

What are some good iowa companies that make ice fishing stuff??
Answer: Pure Fishing owns Berkeley HQ in Iowa. I use their small PowerBait and Gulp on the ice. Sometimes their line but I have other preferences. It's a very competitive business. Berkeley does very well at what they do but to my knowledge there are no dedicated ice fishing vendors out of Iowa.

esox_xtm it's Berkley. How about Custom Jigs and Spins, J and S Tackle, Ventura Tackle Company and Widow Maker Lures just to name a few. These are Iowa companies.

Yep. I'm a child of the 60's and always get the school and the fishing company confused. And I lived in Iowa for 10-12 years... ::) Good call on the dedicated companies too.
