Let's get a roll call going. No real names if your not comfortable just a city or general area where your from and species you go after
I'm from Valparaiso area , crappie, gills , Pike , and perch.

I'm from Vaplo, stay in Warsaw and work in Fort Wayne. I don't keep any fish. Just hunt for the bigs. Tisssss the season to start scouting while I'm out. Wish you all the best!!!!

I live on the north side of Indy and, if it has gills and a backbone, I've probably fished for it

Morning,
Black hills of SD, anything that bites and hopefully this year I'll get to try for big lake trout.

Left the mills and moved back to Michigan over the summer. Will be fishing western Michigan and back to some of the old stomping grounds some of you have heard me mention here. 28Deg this morning on my truck when I left the house and snow a little north of us yesterday and the end of last week. It is coming, Hard water and Tight lines guys and gals.

In Fort Wayne, IN. I fish for pans and walleye year round, but I love ice fishing for them the best. You meet the nicest people on the ice. ;D

Wabash county. Years past I've targeted mostly pan fish. Last year or 2 I've been more adventurous going after walleye.

That's a good thing man lol means we are in this year after year if there is good ice or not. Lol
I'm thinking about a Michigan trip and Wisconsin trip and a Minnesota trip this year as well

I’m right there with you on the Crappie, Yamahajohnny. Love catching them, but don’t like the taste of them. I give them to my uncle. He’s never met a fish that didn’t taste good. :P

I usually go for panfish but want to get into some bigger predator fish and yes I do go to valpo every once and I while it’s just hard to find fish around here

I never have a issue finding or getting fish to bite in valpo. I have a hard time getting Pike to bite in valpo tho.
I'm going to try a night fish on maxi for Wally's n hopefully get some.
I usually go for panfish but want to get into some bigger predator fish and yes I do go to valpo every once and I while it’s just hard to find fish around here

Just waiting on the ice to get back in the groove. In the mean time I'm hitting the ponds for those slab crappie. Kind of hard to turn away 13" to 15" on ultra light poles in 4' of water. Got to start going after those big gills soon.

hellgrammite here have had this twitching in my wrist and my arm will gust swing in this waving motion since that first cold day.

Fort Wayne here. Fish mostly in Whitley and Noble. Perch and Crappie my favorites...but hoping to try walleye this year.

Saskatoon Saskatchewan I try to get up to Tobin lake a couple times for Walleye and also up to Clearwater Manitoba for lake trout a couple times every winter.

Miami county...I like to target fish!!!!! FISH ON fellas!!! Last we were fishing Salomonie the middle of December hoping for a repeat!!!!

Nice to see more anglers coming back now that the cold snaps are hitting. Seen some ice forming on small ponds while deer hunting with my daughter this weekend.
Can't wait for good ice n fun times. Hopefully we can set up some meet n greets around the state n get some ice town's forming n have some more fun on the ice as well as off the ice

Live in Marshall County, going after them crappie. Hopefully we get a good long season

I hardwater Miami Co. and anywhere North..Happy to catch anything through the ice, but target panfish mostly. Always up for fishing with Shanty Brotheren, so give me a shout. Red Eskimo QF2..

Im from Dekalb Co. .....hope to be cleaning quite a few cats out of a pond this winter but love to catch anything thats biting. Enjoy pan fish alot. Anyone local get at me this season and we can put some fish on the ice! Im getting the new Radioactive Pickle combo from 13 Fishing, i'll be out alot!

Kokomo. fish missy a lot with the crew! Lol. Some of u may remember our post last year we had a really good season lots of slabs! And enjoyed fishing with i walton and tennesse freeze and reel ice hole and russ. There was a bunch of us!

South Bender here too. This is my fourth season ice fishing. Haven’t had a ton of luck but worked out the kinks for a more successful season this year. Got a Marcum LX-7 so hoping that puts some fish on the top side.

Prairie creek and summit are my home lakes with a yearly trip to heart attack hill. Bluegill and crappie are my prey. Good luck to all this season and safety first!

Grant county, mostly missy. Crappie, gills, bass. Should see something frozen this week besides the cubes in my dr. Pepper. Have ahd a new to me shanty tow years. Yet to get to try it. Doesn’t help that I bail half the winter for yuge crappie on the St. Johns, FL.

Mainly fish for panfish and catfish on open water and just started ice fishing last year for panfish but looking to fish for more species this year

Edwardsburg, MI. Fish for panfish locally. Prefer to chase walleye on Erie, Saginaw bay and the northern lower peninsula when I can.

From Anderson. mainly head to northern IN or lower MI to fish. Fish for panfish mainly but would love to figure out walleyes sometime.

You guys are really wishing, as am I, but the extended forecast has me more than concerned, and the boat un-winterized! I'll be hanging with the Friends of Fishing at Bass Pro in Portage Tuesday the 11th @ 6:30p, if anybody wants to talk fishing, while we're wishing!

Valparaiso here, I live just north of Loomis lake. Let me know if you want to meet up there soon. The ice should be about right soon. I'm 61 now and a big guy so I need to wait for safe ice. Manny

New to the site but not the ice. I chase bluegills and crappies mostly on ponds and smaller natural lakes. It's been a while since I've fished at Red Bridge because I'm old and fat and the climb kicks my butt!

I just joined today. I am from Cass County.
I had not ice fished for the last 20 or so years. Just got back into it last winter.
Retired after 44 years and looking to get on the ice more this winter. Hoping to find some good people on here to join in with and enjoy the sport of ice fishing.

Toronto, Canada. I fish almost every where that works take me........ This year was CA, FL, Mexico, UK, HK, Japan. But nothing beats the hunt on hard water like our lakes here in Ontario. I'm back in town for Xmas and New Year. I hoping to get in at least 3-4 weeks of ice fishing before I'm called out again for work.

Lowell area. gonna be there between xmas and new yrs. never caught a walleye through the ice but I would just love to get out on any ice and will travel for it. I can fish 12/26 12/27 and 12/28. would be great to meet up with some new fishing guys out here. not a lot of fisherman in the family.
