What can I say other than da$# it felt good to be on the ice so soon this year. Monktonman and I hit tewksbury pond for the first time for a few hours dont think I would bother to go back ther again. Plan on fishing the rest of the week may head towards Choccura or Beaver lake in the am, to try my luck at some bows.

got my first flag around 9:00 am.........picked up a 10 ounce perch on a 5 inch shiner. landed two more pickeral, but it was a slow day

Fishback:
My first flag of the season resulted in a 2 lbs Rainbow named Chupokabre. The thing had 7 shiners and smelt in his belly. So...I guess that makes it a 1.87 lbs Rainbow named Chupokabre.

First day of the season resulted in the best day of icefishing I've ever had. 4 big Rainbows were pulled. Good stuff.
