wont be able to make it, unless possibly there is a snow day. BTW the roads are BAD in missoula, had a guy rollover outside my house on the freeway going toward bonner. if you are driving to work tomorrow be EXTREMELY careful!

Well, three of us fished the Pond ALL day yesterday without icin a single fish. i c and I put in a couple of hours there today, again without icin a single fish. I guess someone caught one rainbow today, but that was it.

Good luck!!!

My buddy Justin and I will probably hit up the Pond tomorrow. Hopefully the fishin will be productive, and there isn't any slush ;)

No live bait. There are all size fish in there, perch, bass, cutthroats and rainbows. They bite on what ever they feel like that day!

We feel the same about the eyes! Beavertail has several warm water springs that continuously feed the pond. They have to keep it well stoked with trout, because the trout can't live too long due to the warm, murky, stagnant water. I would LOVE for the perch to get over 11", and for there to be some eyes in there, forget those concrete raised trout!

lol nice to meet some likeminded fisherman. fisha nd game seems to ignore our requests and instead they keep stalking rainbow trout even in places they cant live  ??? typical govrment activity. i would love for the perch to get bigger than 11 inch to. hard to find very good perch or eyes. too bad the trout cant live in murky stagnant water to hope to see you guys on the ice.

Well, Justin and I put in about 2- 2.5 hours on the Pond today. I iced 4 rainbows and one perch. Today was the BEST day to be sittin out in the sun! Ice as about 5" mostly, 2-4" of slush, then a about 16" of fresh snow. Once you drilled a hole, the ice became heavier, and took on lots of water. Justin didn't get a bite, so it was a 50 - 50 shot.

I organized my PhotBucket, and didn't realize it would alter EVERY picture I put on the web :duh:!!!
Same with all of the pictures here. I'll get it straightened out, one of these days.
I can't remember what pictures I had up there, but I put up some that fit the description.
