"new" icon

  after i read a new post the blue "new" icon does not go away.  any help.  on mff as soon as i read it and hit my back button it goes away.  how can i get the same thing here.

after you hit the back button hit the refresh and that should take care of it.

yeah i've done this and it works but why do i have to after every topic.  don't ever need to hit refresh on mff.

Try clicking Mark ALL messages as read and see if that helps.

that takes all new messages away even the one i haven't read yet.thanks though i guess i'll deal with it.

not like on mhf & mff. it works if i refresh the page or if i return using the  "jump to" at the bottom of the page.  its probably some setting i have set wrong or something.   on mff & mhf i can just use my back cursor and it takes away the "new" icon.

When I hit the "back" button the "new" post are there......I click on the "jump to" ... I think this would be the only way to solve the problem..

All 3 forums have the same configuration settings some members are now having the same problem at MFF now, more than likely a result of the last upgrade. You're right that hitting the back button will load a cached page you can either use the jumpto dropdown menu or click Show unread posts since last visit again to refresh the new icons.

 for some reason its working today when i hit my back button.  seems all good now.
