Great place to bring a kid because you cant keep the perch of  your line.  I was trolling 8" crank baits this summer and coundn't keep the 6" perch off my line.  It got old fast.  There are some lunker Large mouth's in there.

How about walleye bite at Chittenden? Been wanting to try it for a couple of years.

Good luck.........I know some guys that fish it a lot and if they get 1 Walleye every 4-5 trips out they are doing very well.  I guess it used to be a great place to go but not so much now.  Im guessing the state quit stocking, but Im not sure.

There are walleye in there, the stocking program is ongoing, every other year.

Sorry, had to use a picture from 2/14/10.  Those perch were anywhere from 8-14 inches the walleye was 24 i think.

That parking area is nice but is very busy....you'll find a ton of guys with sleds using it (trucks and trailers)...be careful not to get parked in...

It is illegal for sledders to park in fishing access lots unless using their sleds for fishing. F+G  fees fund these lots for fishermen ! Good luck w/ that though.  >:(

remember they have drawn the dam down due to construction on  the leffords spillway and work on the power house on powerhouse road so watch the ice in close!! been several nice walleye taken in the last few days one was 7lb 28inches!!  extra large bait of the dink perch will ruin your day

FYI  in regards to the ONLY SPORTFISHING has rights to the launch at the damn, The VT F&W are not allowed to prevent others from using this particular launch due to the land actually being owned,  by the National Forest and they told them they are NOT to patrol the launch..  Just what I was told after speaking with a warden about the inconsiderate use of others at the boat launch,  ya know  lets pull the car down and take 20 min to unload everything out of the car and unhook everything rather than having stuff all set to go then go down the ramp.
