They are driving all over the bay again. It seems that this cold weather the last few days has refroze the water and slush that was on the ice.

I was out there today also. Caught one walleye and four nice perch. It should get better each week that goes by.

I use tip-ups with Hunts for bait. I like to stagger my baits so I have some on the bottom and some a foot under the ice. Today's walleye came about 8" under the ice in 8' of water. Where abouts were you out there?

what type of fish are you looking to catch on the tip-ups? The sandbar is a good spot for northerns where you don't have to walk a long ways. Porters Point you can catch some lakers off the point in about 20' water and jig for perch while waiting for a flag.

There is a spot to get on the ice near Pretty Road. Its a little road that goes between a camp and a house. Not sure if they have it plowed wide enough to park on. Most people park on the ice if they don't drive out.

There was plenty of ice over the weekend. Trucks driving all over the bay. Should be fine next weekend with all the cold weather were getting this week.
