Gravel Lake near Lawton...Fishable?
« on: Jan 24, 2013, 12:50 PM »
Just wondering if anyone is on the lake yet and if so what portion?
Have access at the South end, hoping to try it Saturday.
Thanks for any responses!

When its quiet it usually means there out there,I'm pretty sure after years of seeing post then doing my own driving and looking it correlates to each other especially in this part of Michigan.

Can you get on the channel from the boat launch?

Paw Paw lake is good to go. There were a couple dozen guys on the channel tonight.

Made it out Saturday.
Fished the south end.  Ice was sketchy.  2-3 inches in most spots.
Didn't venture out too far with the ice so thin, but managed to get on the break.  Fished from 7 to 28 feet, and all depths in between.
Marked a few but couldn't beg a bite.  Very skiddish..they would swim up to the bait, but as soon as you move it...boom, back to the bottom and gone!
Maybe next time!
