Got six of them this year. Will post any results I have with them. First year trying them. Look to be a half way decent lure for jigging.

My take on them is like all lures, if you put yourself in a position to succeed, over good fish that are feeding, you will no doubt do well. If the lure also attracts and catches when the fish are negative and hard to find, then you have a great lure. Obviously, I will have to spend many hours field testing these lures in the name of science. Also, I'll bill the government several million, and file detailed reports.

"Can you add bait? So many times we get people telling us that they need to add a minnow head or wax worm to a lure to make it effective, and you can do this with the Chubby Darter too, but anyone who fishes the Chubby Darter knows the twitching of the tail hook triggers fish far better then bait in most situations. Remember, no other vertical fishing lure has an action like the Chubby Darter, so adding bait to your Chubby is not needed."

I guess we'll soon see.If this bait is all its cracked up to be then it should trigger just about any fish. Should work great on lakers and or trout of any kind.
