Late Ice Crappies
« on: Mar 22, 2004, 10:25 PM »
I'm in Wisconsin, and there is about 20" of ice yet. The weather is really going to shape up nice, and I am planning on night fishing for crappies before ice out.

I was wondering if anyone knew where to set up for these pre-spawn nite time crappies, and if anyone has any tips or pointers to help me out.

Thanks guys....
Play 'em if you wanna fillet 'em!

We like to setup in the weeds, cabbage is best about 6-8ft of water near deep water if possible. We fish LVD (Lac Vieux Desert) near Land O' Lakes during late ice for Crappies using TipDowns.  What a blast!!!!

10 4...fish about 3-4 foot below the ice and you'll have a nice dinner!!
