I have some friends with a cabin up around the Shingleton/Melstrand area and New Years weekend might be my only chance to take off work this winter. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any ice around this area? The only reports I had were skim to very little back on Christmas. The temperatures since Christmas have been looking good, but I was worried about the snow that fell last night might screw up any ice that might form before this weekend.
So, does anyone know of anything fishable up around Beaver Lake area?
