41 right now here in birch run.... Temps will hit freezing tonight and be consistently low for the next few weeks.... Ice season is upon us.... Can't wait!!!

Yup I think we are finally getting there. Smaller lakes should freeze up pretty quick.

Hopefully this snow cools the lakes down faster cause there calling for 1 to 3 inches this friday night to saturday morning around here.. hopefully it lock them shut with no snow on top of ice!!

It will hit the teens for lows right after the snow but then they are calling for an inch Monday but clear after that. Fingers crossed

Till tomorrow when we get 2 to 3 inches of snow in south east to south west michigan more snow then that further north of lansing there calling for..

31 here.i thought I heard 7 to 13 inches of snow coming...its doesn't matter if it gets super cold the lakes that have started forming ice will be screwed.some lakes are still open tho so I have some hope still.

Same as Holland they said could be up to 17" of snow by Wednesday.

28*f currently wind nw at 2 mph currently increaseING to 20 mph over night and dropping yo 16*f over night...

Also just got done clearing the drive already got two more inches on it .. within one hour of doing it..

By the way snow can pe postive this early in season.. because once thin ice cracks it make ice thicker... when it refezees in a week or two this happened to me about 15 years ago we got 3 to 4 inches of fresh ice then bam... we got hit with 18 inches of fresh snow... wich the weight Cracked ice and made ice thicker.. but there is down side to snow one it's s insulator the other is it hides fault in ice!! so be sure to use your spuds every one!! So be carefull cause the ice can be thicker in one spot thinner in another.. this is were a spud will guide ya..
