16* and the possibility of 3"- 6" of snow is of concern. Not fond of wind with the snow for others safety concerns on the road, but just enough wind to maybe blow most of it off the ice could be acceptable. A little warm up in the near future might help compress the snow a little without effecting the ice very much. It's Friday the 13th, we're all doomed anyway, hide and relax

Friday the 13th is a good day for me.i was born on it and my name is Jason.what were my parents thinking..haha but ill wait to check ice tomorrow.

26*F with a chance of snow to night 1-2 inches with a low of 19*F was just out on the ice and it popping and cracking while drilling the holes so i just left for a week till it thickens up more...

19*f no snow yet it is going to start at 3:15 a.m. with light snow and we will get 3-4 inches according to weather.com. along with another 1 inch to night so lets hope it does not wreck the ice around south east michigan or any ware else.

19* and blowing snow. Considering on this date last year there was no ice ~40*. raining on and off. We're in reasonable shape to get a season in this year, relax we'll get there

currently 18*f with 4-6 inches of snow on the ground do not think the ice is safe with all this snow on it 3 -3.5 inches of ice with 4-6 inches of snow on it. is it going to crack from the weight? it mite be a week before wee get out? it looks like the 20th of December it is going to be 39*F and raining so how long will this weather last? also how long till were on the ice in south east Michigan again?

Don't get all excited about a little rain and 40 degrees its only for a day or two, look @ weather behind it. I will be surprised if we see any grass till spring. The ice is not gonna melt under the snow just be a little messy, fish on just keep yer spud handy!! Gotta remember the ice under the snow is some of the best ice I have seen in yrs.

not really worried just hoping will be out in a few day guess i just got tot sue the spud. by the way went buy the lake and there is wet snow on top of the ice.... hopefully it refreezes fast...

Came off the ice this afternoon and was sloppy 4-5 in good ice 6 in snow on ice making slush, after tonite will probably have double layer but it will stay cold till around Friday, then again next week! We'll be OK just watch where you go if 1st time out on new lake this yr.

Looks like a two day warmup coming. Should be great to get the snow reduced a bit on the ice for it to refreeze again. BTW 17
