Hole size question

Question...are 10" auger holes permitted? I was told they are not.

i don't think there is any size limit of a hole for ice fishing.

Ten inch holes are great but unnecessary and slightly dangerous. 

Years ago they began downgrading the size of the hole diameter due to the number of people getting injured stepping into the holes.  It is very easy to break a leg if you accidentily step into one of these holes. Obviously it is up to you to drill, chainsaw or otherwise get to the fish in any way you want but  you might want to bear this in mind when you get a drill.

I have a 10" Eskimo, had it for quite a while.  Was surprised when I was told last fall that they were illegal and carried a hefty fine if caught. From a safety standpoint, I can understand the potential for injury.

When your quit, full alll your holes with snow and after that made a little mountain on the top and add a branch! if they dont see it..they're simply idiots!
