whats the best way to cook crappie

hey all i live on a pond were i catch 11and 12 inch crappie buy the buckets and allways let them go  ive herd there very good eating   so whats the best way to cook them up thanks in advance rob (snohiker)

let me see well actually mail them to me on ice and i will cook them up for ya  :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: no just fillet them out and mix up a little flour, corn meal ,onion powder, and garlic powder and black pepper then in a separate bowl mix 2-3 eggs with a splash of milk dip fillets in egg milk combo and then in your dry mix then drop in hot oil ounce golden brown pull out and salt up and enjoy :thumbsup:
early mornings,cold north winds,hard ice,good friends and cold high life..FLAG UP!.priceless

A product available here in Canada is called "Fish Crisp". It is a dry coating, shake and bake sort of thing.
It is very good on crappie or most any other fish you care to cook. I try a lot of different methods for every other kind of fish, but Fish Crisp is about the only thing I like for crappies.
I know a lot of Americans buy it up here when they visit. Maybe it's available in the US now.

I should have mentioned - pan fry in oil. Peanut is okay but I just use vegetable oil of some kind, usually canola.
