Thats right. did some homework and put some work in with my old man and icetilt. soaking cusk lines for 12 hours and pulled up 17 so far. still have 34 hours to go! some quality fish as well as some smalls. however, best feeling in the world was to see a great friend pull up his first cusk and then my old man pull up this beast! absolutely priceless!!!! more reports to come as time allows.

The trip is officially over. Fishing was great, and no so great. the final count was 35 cusk, 5 jumbo and 5 small white perch, about 25 yellows mostly all small, 6 lakers, 1 13" crappie and 2 nice smallies. biggest cusk 31" and biggest laker 23". no matter how the fishing was, the time spent with my old man and a great friend far out weighed what was pulled through the holes. looking forward to a trip up north next year. this ends my season so a quick thanks to everyone that helped out- Thank you for everything! 3 generations will be at it next season!

Sounds like an epic trip!

Sounds like an epic trip!
X2 - Congrats...

The most important thing I learned over the last 2 trips..... you need wheels or ski's! Mobility is Key!!!!! You just cannot cover enough water to really get onto the fish with limited time. When spending 3 hours on foot walking, 3 hours of fishing are lost.

Hey Sharps if you wouldn't mind sharing what depth you were getting the cusk in and what type of bottom that would be appreciated. I'm going to try my luck on Sunapee this weekend, but don't know if I should target rocks or sand. Feel free to PM if needed. Looks like you had an awesome trip! Congrats.
