Title: AWD vs FWD SxS
Post by: rpmilius on Dec 19, 2021, 10:10 AM
I've been looking at small side-by-sides for general work around the house and want to use it for ice-fishing as well. I see that the new Polaris Ranger SP 570 has AWD and the new Honda Pioneer 520 advertises 4WD (though I don't know if has a locking differential). Does it matter for ice-fishing?

#1, the first thing, run away from Poop ATV's you spend more time fixing than riding. Their sleds are ok, but ATV's are a chitshow at best.  No need to wonder why they are cheaper out the door, they will drain your wallet later.  Go look at Yamaha or Honda, Kawasaki,  also avoid Canned Hams and Arctic crap.
