Title: Smelt catch report

went to Leightons in Bowdoinham last night. there were only 3 groups out. 2 per shack. my buddy and I caught 47, next shack 20 and the 3rd shack 57. 4 tommycod for us. fished with bottom hook anywhere from 10 - 18" off the bottom. Another friend fished James Eddy. catch report one shack got nothing. 2 others caught 50's. both were on the incoming. tide
NOTE: was told that all shacks have to be off the ice by March 15

when I cleaned the smelt, I found something in the stomach of one fish that I have never seen before - a cooked onion!
