Well to become a Mod you must be asked by the administrator (Scott) who owns and runs this site. For the most we try to keep the site informative for what it was made for, helping people who want to learn and talk about icefishing. Our job here is to read the posts made daily and at busy times it lasts all day. Through Scott and the other mods we decide if posts need moving to a area where they will get the best ansewers to questions being asked or if they should be left where they are. Another part of the job we do is to remove posts ( the most thankless job) that are offensive, Personal attacks, relating to selling products to benefit a members company, Or in some cases just a bunch of nothing about nothing. The last is always the one we get the most grief about. Although I will say it is a fun job for us to do because we are involved with a great site the best out there if I say so myself. I myself became a Mod last year along with a few others due to the fact that this site is growing so fast that the long time mods can not keep up with most of what goes on here, it involves a lot of time and without more mods it doesn't leave much time for their fishing. We also work hand in hand with Scott and though member ideas to improve the site for everyone to enjoy. At times we catch plenty of grief from some members for thing we do but get plenty of thanks from members who are appreciative of our efforts to keeping this site the best out there.
