Dear Lord.........Thank you for the ice!
« on: Dec 03, 2006, 08:45 AM »
Well  we made it out yesterday.  FINALLY  :roflmao:   :woot:

19 degrees and winds 15-25   Ice was 4-41/2"  and glass clear   water was very clear  you could see bottom 6-8' down.  Drilled several places  picked a spot and flipped the shelter.  caught a bunch and i mean a buch if finger sized perch and gills.  Wasnt till we flipped the shelter over us that we started to get some bigger fish move in.  Ended up with 15 or so keeper sized gills and a couple nice perch, nothin to brag about exept the fact we got on and the action was incredible.  That wasnt fishin,  it was called Catchin.

All in all it was a GREAT day in my book      Thank you  Lord!

Hopefully you don't have the wind with it we do here! The wind is really keeping it from freezing over or staying frozen when we do get a skim overnight!
