Vicious Lines and Lindy Darters
« on: Jan 05, 2010, 06:14 PM »
I was wonder now that people have had a chance to try these two things.  I would search the older posts up but the search bar is gone for right now.  If you could tell me how they good/bad they would I would appreciate it.  Thanks

I'm lovin' the Lindy Darter so far...took it out on New Year's Eve and Day...it was the only thing I got hits on.  Started with a buckshot rattle spoon...got some attention on the x67c...switched up to the Lindy and caught some perch and a rock bass.
Experimented with the Salmo...blue fox Tingler...salted minnow on a jig...gulp fish fry on a genz worm....only thing that got hit was the Lindy
The harder the better!

I bought both of these things...the Vicious line was stripped from a rod after one use, wow, what a coily mess...the darter on the other hand I like, it has a different moition then the Chubby, it feels lighter and you dont get that distinct wobble on the up jig. only seen limited action no fish yet, but i liked it

i also am not a fan of vicious flourocarbon line.  i picked up a spool of it last year because it was cheap and then i soon figured out why it was cheap.  for 6lb test it was a good bit thicker than 6lb berkley vanish, it was also pretty stiff and had a ton of memory.  when you'd cast the line would come off in coils severly limiting casting distance.

I used vicious 8lb in the summer, CRAP. I cant imagine how bad it would be in the winter!
