I was fishing over about 3 feet of water on Thursday and could see the brook trout sniff around my shiners. an old timer told me to try small trout worms on the end of a jig and gave me a few. I watched the same fish that were sniffing around the shiners attack those worms... that was all the proof I needed.

I may pick up some trout worms when I go after brookies.

My biggest salmon and brookie through the ice were both caught on nightcrawlers.

I went by a field on Bayside going to Ellsworth Saturday and saw crows feasting on nightcrawlers. Out in the lawn on Swan's they are coming up everywhere. Oh, by the way, what is ice fishing?
