lake arrowhead ice

I drove around a little today and checked some spots on lake arrowhead(waterboro side) and it looks like it won't be long now before we can do some fishing, weather permitting

I've never fished there, but wouldn't this be a great pond for the kids. Most crappie ponds have plenty of perch, pickeral and bass in them.
when hell freezes over, I'll be icefishing there too!

Did i mention the edges were SCARY!!! if anyone decided to go there , please be VERY careful as this ice is very new and only a little over half clear ice...if it doesnt stay cold it could deteriorate very fast.

Rich.........was it skimmed over?
it was skimmed over in some areas but walkable in a few coves.  walked out(very carefully) gonna say at least a couple of inches of ice. but to confirm with billditrite some of the edges were a little scary. In one area it looked like someone drilled a hole to check the ice... or they couldn't wait to try out their new auger. Would have been cool to drive over to the limerick side and seen those guys out there with a hatchet LOL.. but didn't check that side
