What we use to haul our auger on the quads are Gun racks. They come 2 in a pack usually rubber coated and we lay the augers in there and your good to go across the lake. They dont fall out either.

Exactly. I use 3 gun racks. 2 for the handles and 1 for the auger blade. No Velcro straps. Just put it in and take it out when ready.

Across the front rack.

Along with the gunracks (2 for the motor, 2 for the blade ) I'll use a pair of bungee straps to keep it in place. I mounted mine on the front rack as the back gets more slush and snow. What works for me to carry my buckets is three milk crates bolted together and ratchet straped to the back rack. Good luck with your new machine.

+1

The velcro straps may be a pain, but the mad dog holds that auger like a vise!

This is the mount i had on my fourwheeler. It uses hook bolts to hold it to the rack.

Here's how I had my old Fourtrax geared up. Mad Dog Auger Holder and a plain old Princess Auto  Folding 3-bucket rack.

It was quite rear-heavy, so much that I had to un-load everything before trying to drive up the ramp onto my trailer. Found that out the hard way  :o
