Snow machine rentals around or near Cascade
« on: Jan 01, 2019, 11:17 AM »
Hey everyone, I am coming from across the mountain to fish Cascade lake with an ID friend.  Been watching the reports on here and seen that Lake Cascade is going to have too much snow for the wheeler so looking for a sled rental for 3-4 days while I'm there.  On a quick search I seen 440$ a day and that's way too rich for our blood!

I appreciate any info, thanks!

We just fished  poison creek and it was doable with an ATV with chains.

Won't be making the trip until the end of the month, I'm sure there will be more snow by then.

There are several that are available for $140-$180/day if you search "snowmobile rental Donnelly Idaho"

That's still a lot of cash for a 3-4 day trip!! More than lodging for the two of us.  Just seems ludicrous to charge that much, also the places my buddy has called all require them back every day, that would get pretty old having to take it back just to rent it again.

This was a big determining factor for us deciding to head to our second choice of destinations where we could keep our costs lower and not rent a snowmobile. I wish you luck!

Cra,y how much they ask for rentals.   I guess I'll hold off until next year and just pick up a snow machine this summer.

I have snowmobiles, and owning them is not cheap either! They always need a hundred bucks worth of something. Maybe we need a service like Uber to run fisherman around on the lake.

But I would use it a lot, that Uber idea though 🤔...   just might be a good start up

Badger just needs to rent his snowmobiles to Hammer for a reasonable price and that would solve everyone's problems  ;D
