Hows the fishing at G-Town
« on: Feb 17, 2009, 11:02 PM »
Anyone know how the fishing has been at georgetown lake?  Going up there this weekend just curious what they have been biting on and where to find em.  Any info would be much appreciated.

Fished there a week ago Saturday, this past Sat and yesterday. It has been slowing down - for us and others we talked to. Each day was less than the previous time. Didn't mark many fish yesterday. The water clarity is down, not sure if this is having an effect. Maybe they are getting ready to spawn soon? Only a few rainbows and one koke yesterday. Last month was really good.

Been fishing from Denton's to Phillipsburg bay.

Using rockers, finkies, pimples, etc.

Caught 3 bows, and missed a handful more bites today between 10:30 and 1. Nothing big, can't complain, great day to get the kids out.

I don't fish G-town much anymore, but I know this time of year we used to fish out in front of the pumphouse before light with spawn and pound fish.  Big Brookies and lots of Bows.  The bite was usually good for a couple hours after light but for about three hours before light used to be unreal.  It has been a long time since I have done that thought but would imagine it still would be good.
